1945 UK general election results
Labour won the most seats: 375 of the 601 single-member and unopposed seats the source breaks down by party (39 seats in two-member and university constituencies are not split by party in the source). Afterwards: Labour majority government, with Clement Attlee as prime minister.
39 seats are not allocated to parties here. They were in two- and three-member constituencies (some towns and the universities), where the House of Commons Library dataset gives votes by party rather than by candidate. The Library’s own published totals for this election, including those seats, are Conservative 210 and Labour 393 (its Conservative figure includes allied groups).
